MY APPROACH

Through increased activation of authenticity and self-integration through coaching as well as taking directed practical actions in service of what of what matters to them, my clients strengthen their commitment, grow their inner resources, gain clarity about their life and projects, and increase their confidence in embodying their authentic selves which increases well-being and performance.

Focuses of coaching vary from assuming greater leadership capacity, balancing life commitments, activating a greater level of discipline, integration of spirituality and work, and creating high performance culture in business relationships.

MY BACKGROUND

William Walker is a highly experienced leadership mentor and facilitator who has worked with hundreds of executives, senior-managers, entrepreneurs, and community leaders internationally. He has worked with clients from corporations such as the Royal Bank of Canada, Adapt Pharma, Nike, New Balance, Posteel, Standard Chartered Bank, Yappn Corp, Lexis Nexis as well as in non-profit organisations, start-up companies and grass-roots community organisations. His organisation, The Way of Apprenticeship, serves leadership within small to large organisations internationally (thewayofapprenticeship.com).

He has mentored and facilitated executives and teams in Canada, the U.S., and Asia and has provided leadership mentoring in several organisational and community crisis situations where high levels of safety, trust, and strategic action were required. Leveraging over 10 years of professional, academic and experiential immersion in the topic of human development, William excels in guiding and supporting others in identifying meaning in their lives, overcoming modern constraints and barriers, and actualising the best, most authentic versions of themselves.

William has accumulated over 1,000 hours of coaching practice and over 400 hours of professional facilitation practice. He is a graduate of the Leicester University Sports Management MBA program in the UK and holds a Bachelor of Recreation and Leisure from the University of Ottawa. He has published peer reviewed articles on coaching and leadership and taught university graduate courses on leadership and adult learning at Concordia University and Korea University.
